5 Days to a New Marriage

This class was specifically designed for small group settings for marriages that need to find healing and for good marriages wanting to become great! Couples only. No walk-ins. Group participates limited to four couples.

Biblical Finances 101

4 weeks (Mondays) or 5 weeks (weekends)  |  Facilitators: Paul Peterson/Brian Leary

God wants all of his people to be financially blessed, financially free, and out of debt. In this DVD series, Dr. Larry Hutton will discuss that Christ became poor and redeemed us from poverty and lack so that we could become rich. It will also discuss how we can use and apply our faith for financial resources. Dr. Hutton delivers a powerful message that breaks through tradition and unlocks the mysteries of receiving and enjoying God's financial blessings while still exhibiting a Godly lifestyle!

Blended Families and Remarriage 101

6 weeks  |  Facilitators: Sam & Marjie Wilder

This biblically-based, interactive series is for blended/stepfamily couples who are either engaged or married. The class outlines achievable steps toward building a healthy marriage and workable stepfamily. This class replaces the PREPARE to LAST class for second marriage and blended families, although not exclusive to those scenarios. This class is for pre-registered couples only. No walk-ins.

DivorceCare

13 weeks  |  Facilitators: Bruce & Jean Fallecker

This is a biblically based support group for people experiencing divorce. Through this group, you will learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. DivorceCare features 13 dynamic video seminars with 32 renowned experts on divorce and recovery. You are welcome to begin attending the group on any week.

All group participants must understand and agree to follow the guidelines on confidentiality and dating. If you are facing financial difficulty, please contact the church office to have your registration paid. Child care can be made available, but you must contact Marriage Resources at 724-453-6200 by end of day Tuesday for the week you need child care.

Effective Parenting

8 weeks  |  Facilitator: Dave & Cheryl Stebick

This course addresses raising successful children in this fallen world. The course teaches principles that bring an understanding of the role of a parent and how to apply God's process for teaching and nurturing your children. Practical lessons about discipline versus punishment are discussed as well as biblical truths that you and your children can hold on to when all else fails. For all parents.

Faith and Family

God's plan is for a husband and wife to grow up and build a great marriage together. Armed with truths from the Bible and practical wisdom concerning the differences between men and women, couples can work together to create the marriages that God desires for them to have. Joe McGee also shares basic principles that every child should know and that are deeply rooted in God's Word.

Financial Peace University

A DVD series by Dave Ramsey, Financial Peace University is a biblically-based accountability curriculum that teaches individuals how to make the right decisions with their money. Children may be checked into their classes before class.

Marriage Builders

Marriage Builders is a class based on Mark Gungor's Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage seminar. Couples learn biblical principles and marriage truths which can strengthen, improve, and enrich any marriage relationship.

Prepare to Last (Premarital Classes)

8 weeks  |  Facilitators: Bernie & Mary Smith

PREPARE to LAST is a foundational, interactive series for seriously dating and first-time marriage, engaged couples. Some of the benefits of the class include:

• Establishing a firm spiritual foundation for a marriage relationship based on the Word of God
• Helping couples to understand and value covenant marriage
• Helping couples to learn and practice proper conflict resolution skills
• Helping couples to learn the vital "secrets" of effective communication
• Helping unmarried couples to honestly evaluate their readiness for marriage

Prior to attending the pre-marital preparation class, a face-to-face discussion with a facilitator/mentor couple is required. This personal couple's interview is required no later than two weeks prior to the first class session.

The class is mandatory for couples planning to be married by Victory Family Church pastors.

Return to Intimacy

4 weeks  |  Facilitators: Rich & Jen Eberst

Return to Intimacy is a 4-week class based on Jimmy Evans's Return to Intimacy seminar. True intimacy doesn't focus only on sex, but is the result of emotional closeness, respect, and honesty. This class is for any married couple desiring to grow and establish a strong covenant marriage through the applied Word of God.
